Kirsten Skirvin was born and raised in southern California. She spend a large part of her youth backpacking and camping with her family. Her father was the first to teach her the amazing properties of the plants around her. After receiving her BS in Psychology from Brigham Young University, she continued spending time in the wild. She received her Master Herbalist degree from the School of Natural Healing in 2005 and has taught many herbal classes throughout the years. She hopes to inspire others to plant and harvest their own herbal medicines. She spends her time making tinctures, spinning wool, and dabbling in other old world crafts. She and her husband currently reside in Arizona with their seven children.
