Douglas Dreishpoon is chief curator at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. Exhibitions organized by him included Edwin Dickinson: Dreams and Realities (2002), The Tumultuous Fifties: A View from the New York Times Photo Archives (2002), and Petah Coyne: Above and Beneath the Skin (2005). His essays and reviews have appeared in Art in America, Art Journal, Art News, and Sculpture. A former board member of the American Section of the International Association of Art Critics, he is presently organizing Guillermo Kuitca: Everything, Paintings and Works on Paper, 1980-2008, a touring survey for 2009-10.
