DIARY OF A WIMPY KID BOOK #12 WILL RELEASE WITH ITS LARGEST BOOK TOUR TO DATE AND A MASSIVE CAMPAIGN IN CELEBRATION OF THE SERIES’ 10TH ANNIVERSARY
New York, NY (September 21, 2017)—Amulet Books, an imprint of ABRAMS, will launch the much-anticipated Diary of a Wimpy Kid #12: The Getaway on November 7, 2017, with a massive promotional campaign in celebration of the series’ 10th anniversary. As part of the campaign, beloved author and illustrator Jeff Kinney is embarking on his most extensive book tour ever to over twenty cities around the world. There are 10 tour events across North America, in New York City, Philadelphia, Miami, Chicago, Nashville, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Montreal. In addition, cities in Europe, Asia, and Russia include Moscow, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Taipei, Mexico City, Dublin, London, Prague, Warsaw, and Budapest. Kinney’s global travels guarantee that thousands of fans will meet him and read the eagerly awaited 12th installment of Greg Heffley’s antics and adventures.
In Book 12, The Getaway, Greg Heffley and his family are getting out of town. With the cold weather and the stress of the approaching holiday season, the Heffleys decide to escape to a tropical island resort for some much-needed rest and relaxation. A few days in paradise should do wonders for Greg and his frazzled family. But the Heffleys soon discover that paradise isn’t everything it’s cracked up to be.
